Oh the places you'll go.....

Congratulations~Katie Bug!!!

Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the gal who’ll decide where to go.
You’ll look up and down streets. Look’em over with care. About some you will say, “I don’t choose to go there.” With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet, you’re too smart to go down a not-so-good street........
You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed?Yes! You will, indeed!(98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.)
Kid, you’ll move mountains! So…be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ale Van Allen O’Shea, you’re off to Great Places!Today is your day!Your mountain is waiting. So…get on your way!
~ Dr. Seuss
Silly as it may seem I cannot read this book without crying. I was given a copy by a dear friend when I graduated and always said I would make it a tradition in my family.
So instead of a card, my niece got a book. A book that I hope she will cherish for the rest of her life as I have cherished mine. She is such a wonderful young lady and such a sweet spirit. I couldn't be more proud of her. I know I probably looked like a crazy women sitting in my car writing in a children's book, with tears running down my face. But the more I wrote the more I realized Katie was almost a grown-up. I remember the day she was born, and hear she is ready to begin facing that big wide world. So scary, yet so exciting. I wish her all of the best this world has to offer, I know she is going to do some amazing things.

Congratulations to you and your beautiful daughter!

It's amazing how fast they turn from being little toddlers to grown ups.

Sweet post!
