Spring Break update with Jenn Jam....

I can't believe spring break has come and gone. I guess when you are grown up it just does that.
Guido's Pass of All Passes was expired and luckily a friend hooked me up with the most killer deal. Normally the pass is $49.95, I scored it for $9.99. So awesome, especially because the pass already paid for itself this week alone. Can't beat that. Even better, I love that the boys just say we are going to Trafalga. There is no more, can you take us to Trafalga? Gotta love when the friends can drive themselves.

We had the usual houseful for Easter weekend and we had fun the entire time. We dyed Easter eggs and made a lovely mess of the kitchen.

It is so much fun to take the entire crew to church.

On Easter Sunday it was extra special and was so nice to have everyone there

because it was a special day for Guido.

Since he turned sixteen he was interviewed and found worthy to be ordained a priest.

This Saturday I had a fun filled Girls day out. It started with a matinee at Capitol theater with Katyana and Mikelle. We saw the Little Mermaid. It was so amazing.

We then slipped down to City Creek Center for lunch.

I then had a wonderful date with my Mother-in-law to attend a session at the Jordan River Temple.

What a beautiful temple and what a peaceful time. I cannot believe how much I love going to the temple. Each time I go I get such a wonderful sense of peace. I don't know why I am surprised that each time I enter the temple I am in awe of the beauty and this time it was no different. What joy I have found.

After the temple it was back to the ballet with Katyana to see Emeralds with Petite Mort and Paquita. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I love the ballet!!! I can't wait for next season.

Wow is all I can say....

It has been a pretty amazing past few days.

All within 24 hours.
The wedding was beautiful. Everything turned absolutely lovely.

Not a day to late....

Today while at my hairdresser's she was telling me how she had just returned from her sister-in-law's funeral. A sister-in-law that she had never met, even though she and her husband had been married for 26 years, a sister-in-law that lives less then 50 miles from her, a sister-in-law that is in the same state.
Her husband and his sister had a falling out several years before they had married and they had never spoke since. At least until he got a phone call that his sister had only one hour left to live. He rushed to her side and they made their amends, she then passed away.
As Jan was telling me this story tears were in my eyes as I thought of my husband and his family. I thought of all the years that could have continued to be wasted. I am so thankful that we are no longer in this place with his family and that won't ever have to worry that we waited until it was too late.

Let the wedding festivities begin....

Yesterday began the start of the celebrating for Miss Katie Bug and her wonderful Carson's beautiful life together. Katie's Aunt to be Natalie, held the first of her bridal showers. So much going on and so many special moments. All leading up to the day that we will get to see these two sealed together as husband and wife.

Happy Birthday "T"

The past several months have been some of the hardest I have ever been through. I realize that they have not been as hard for me as they have been for T' but they have definitely sucked. I never imagined how much I was going to miss her even though I was able to see her each and every week. I am so glad to have her home and am so thankful for the lessons that she has taught me. She tells me all the time that she will never be able to repay me but it actually goes both ways.

I love you my dear sister and am so blessed to have you on my life.

all is calm, all is going to be just fine....

What a beautiful Christmas we had this year. I picked Tina up on Friday discovering one of the major rules was she couldn't go anywhere, no stores, no movies, not even church. That meant I couldn't go to any of these places either. I freaked out just a little inside. I wasn't done with shopping. I still needed to pick up stocking stuff for everyone and groceries and I probably could just go an be a little more annoyed with all of the people out there doing all of their last minute shopping.
But it was okay....
I gave that wonderful husband of mine a list and he took care of it. He finished it all up. While I sat home and enjoyed doing not one thing but relaxing and hanging out with my sister and all of the kids.
Christmas Eve we just relaxed, watched movies, and played games....
