Enough to make any parent proud!!!
So your daughter can learn from an modest role model, one that has style and is interesting.

Please tell me I want to meet them.
I want to just sit down and have a little chat with them, get to know them

Really IHC....

I have seen some crazy PR tactics. I have been involved in some crazy PR tactics. But this has to take the cake. Today in the mail was a card from my local hospital. On the front of the card it said "Thank You," then it was signed by several random nurses, CNA's, unknown staff.
Does IHC think I am appreciative of this card?
Um...no!!!

Do they think they need to send out cards to their patients so they can get return customers ? Do they need to solicit business? How about not charging so much, that would show some appreciation.  I mean really. How about showing your patients some respect and paying attention to them while they are at your facility? How about training your staff to be respectful of their patients and not talk about them to their friends and family after hours? Those are the types of things that make good PR. Not some silly card, signed by people, that not a one you recall meeting.Sad we don't have many other options, but even sadder that IHC really thinks people think people would be appreciative of this.

PS. Normally I wouldn't use a companies name but I will be passing this information on to the
"Tell us how we are doing" folks at IHC as well. So I figure I would share it with all of you good folks here as well.

Really, $5.00 ....

"You can't take pictures in here," snapped the frazzled, looking, bakery worker at the local superstore. "Really, why not?" I replied.
"Because, because, because , you just can't!!!"
"Okay. Well you call security and while we are waiting for them you can explain to me why you are selling these and for these prices......."

Pig Jelly .....

Yet another fine product made here in the good old USA that allows us to add some, Ummmm bacon flavor, (not to mention a few more calories) to whatever we might be supping on this fine evening. As I was reading the article about it, the author was explaining how she and her family had spread this "Yummy Jam." on their burgers, the night before. I actually think I threw up a little. Really what are people thinking? Oh look at all this congealed bacon fat sitting in this pan, I wonder if we put it in a jar if people would buy it? Let's just mix it up a bit and call it jam. If you look really close on the side you can also see that it is the "Original Skillet Bacon Spread." Not to be mistaken for any others that have come after it.People, people, people...whoever made this should be forced to just eat it with a spoon. Yuck.....

Destroying the institution of marriage...

"Larry King is getting his 8th divorce, Elizabeth Taylor is possibly getting married for a 9th time, Jesse James and Tiger Woods are sleeping around on their wives, yet the idea of same-sex marriage is what is going to destroy the institution of marriage?"

What a statement! What a thought! I have several dear friends of mine who have been in committed, long term relationships. Unmarried mind you, but committed to one another. Why are they unmarried? They are unmarried because they are in same-sex relationships. Yet these couples share everything that my husband and I share with one another. Well almost everything. They are committed to one another though, they do not cheat, they do not run around and each of these couples have been in relationships for over 15 years. Longer than ANY of Larry King or Elizabeth Taylor's marriages lasted.

I understand the purpose of the institution of marriage, that is not a question for me. However, I think we need to look at the fact that we, as the righteous nation that we are, tend to jump at blaming the destruction of the institution of marriage on those who want to be in a same-sex committed relationship, those who we deem as different, those who we decide to pass judgement on. Overlooking all of the above mentioned individuals who have time and time again disrespected, dismissed, ignored and have done an amazing job destroying the institution of marriage all on their very own.

Phd or no Phd sometimes they should just be smacked....

Sometimes I wonder how a doctor with years
and years of schooling could absolutely, positively have Zero common sense.

What is wrong with this picture???

An 80+ year old woman

A Valium

Last minute surgery on the right eye ~ thus limiting vision in the right eye

Allowing said women (Who I might add drives like a stereo typical 80

+ year old woman)to get behind the wheel of an automobile

to drive 50+ miles to her sister's home.

When I called my grandmother this afternoon to see how she had made out at the doctor's, I about died. She said the doctor decided to do the surgery he was just supposed to be consulting her about, TODAY!!! and she is just to nice and sweet to say no.

Thank goodness all went well and that no one was hurt.

Although she has told me I am not allowed, I am going to be calling that doctor's office tomorrow and giving them a little piece of my mind. How dare they put her on the spot, guilt her into having last minute surgery without anyone there to support her and then send her off to drive herself home, endangering herself and every person she passed as she drove down the freeway. It makes me so mad I just want to give the doctor a big old "what were you thinking" smack on the back of the head.

This blog is open to invited readers only.....

I couldn't believe what I was reading. Intimate details of a young boys life, address, activities, school, etc, etc, etc. Pretty much enough information that any would be pedophile could go right on over to his home and share enough information to get this child comfortable enough to let him in. There has been a lot of talk lately about making sure when blogging about children, that it is done safely and generically enough to keep there anonymity. Not taking picture of addresses', schools, "clues". It is a small world and the blogging world although seemingly big is even more connected and smaller then some realize. I actually came across a picture of my nephew standing in front of his school with a group of friends, on a friend of a friends blog. Small, small world.
Now this blog had posts from Mom, but it also had posts from the 13 year old boy. I was so shocked because, along his blog were links to all of his brothers and sisters blogs, open for all invited readers to see. All of these blogs were written in the same tone, details everywhere. Then I noticed Mom's blog, which interestingly enough was private.
